Packing for GORUCK Challenge Class 110
Full packing list here.

Gratitude!
Just wanted to thank you for the heads up on the redesigned Gorucks and the eventual price increase. I’ve had my eye on the Echo for a while but felt it was a bit small for my needs. Loved the changes they made so I snatched it up just in time and saved $50! Submitted by Macgirl. Thanks! I’m trying.

nothingfuture asked: Yeah. Forget Not Given. I don't care if this turns into a blog with a community gear-selling-thing happens. It'd still be better than most other stuff out there. Keep it up.

And it's gone...
The Radio Ruck is gone. I won’t say who bought it, I’m sure you’ll see it soon on a great blog.

dreadthedesk asked: Disregard Not Given's comment. If you want to post something for sale everyday, that's fine by me. The GoRuck is a great purchase, and if I were in the market for one, I would swipe it up. Post whatever you want on any of your blogs, they are very informative and the highlight of my RSS feeds. Thank you - Dustin

Becoming GORUCK Tough | Matt Browner Hamlin -... →
The hardest part of the GORUCK Challenge was probably signing up. I’d learned about GORUCK, a military-grade backpack company, through the indispensable Pack Light Go Fast blog. It was also through Pack Light Go Fast that I learned about the GORUCK Challenge, a team event which puts its participants through a Special Forces-inspired physical and mental ringer. The Challenge always...

What a Pansy
Look, the fact he posted as not@given.com speaks volumes itself. Anyway, if this has him so distraught he needs to unsubscribe, there are probably some bigger issues.  All you do is endorse great products, give great advice, and link to great articles.   You had a piece of gear you were selling anyway, and decided to give your readers a fair chance for a great piece of gear.  There is no...

sad abuse of your viewers
I visit this blog for pack news, and was disappointed that you decided selling a personal item was worthy of a post. Kind of cheesy, and it let me know I can get better info somewhere else. So long First of all, Not Given (not@given.com), I would appreciate your giving me your name so I can address you properly. Second, since this is a blog where people, like you, come for pack news I thought...

I'm selling my Radio Ruck
Hey guys, I am selling my GORUCK Radio Ruck. The ruck is awesome, it’s in perfect condition without any scratches, tears, holes, or anything else. All the rubber pulls on the zippers are in place. Price is $210. Patch no included. The reason I am selling it is because I want to buy the new sized Radio Ruck coming soon since it suits my working needs better. I love this ruck but I...

Upgraded GORUCK GR Echo and Radio Ruck
Both the GORUCK Echo and the Radio Ruck just received an upgrade. They are slightly bigger (about 6 liters) and the Echo now sports a full zip and can take a bigger laptop. They will be more expensive too but for the next few days you can get the new models at the old price. Hurry!

Urban Packing | 8 Days, One Mean Rucksack →
At the end of the week my wife, kids, and I will be heading overseas to the England to visit my family. It will be the first time my two small kids have ever been to England and their first time meeting their aunts, uncles, and cousins. It’s going to be exciting. I’m sharing this because I was suddenly struck by the realization that my approach to packing for this family vacation is almost...

altoidamadeus-deactivated201203 asked: I just wanted to add to minimalmac's concerns, I ruck run every weekend and I was using the GR2, which I think has the same straps as the GR1 and I found it immensely comfortable. My only dislike with the GR2 was it rubbed against my lower back. I decided to get the radio ruck to try that out, I was not happy, the smaller straps were far less comfortable and I will be using the radio ruck...

minimalmac asked: So, as you know, I'm going to be doing the GORUCK Challenge in May. I would like to get my own GORUCK bag to have for training but I'm having a tough time deciding which one. I'm usually a small bag sort of guy because I travel light so my initial feeling was for the Radio Ruck but I find myself thinking maybe it might be nice to have a larger bag in my arsenal as an option so...

Things.: Airline Baggage Policies Are Stupid →
muddybadger: So I’m flying out to Vancouver and had everything packed for a week of snowboarding and touristy crap into my GR1 and a Dakine Low Roller (board bag). American Airlines told me that I couldn’t put anything in my board bag aside from my board/boots/bindings; this would change it from “sports…

theseminarian asked: OK, so how best would you attach a Nalgene bottle to a GR1 (or 2 or Radio for that matter, but I own a GR1)? The Maxpedition bottle holder seems a bit much. I can think of paracord and a carbiner but that would sit/hang low (I think). I don't need constant access to it, I just want to secure it (as is I just make sure the cap is on tight and I toss it inside).

luisgodinez asked: Love the blog, I think I read every post twice. I'll be buying a GR1 soon and most of my travels are roadtrips or quick 3 day trips. Do you have any recommendations for light clothing that don't look so outdoor orientated and not too pricey. I'm not sure if that makes sense. I'm looking for a more casual look. The only exception is my marmot precip for a light rain jacket.

dramatictheory asked: I know you get these questions all the time, but here's another one; I'm moving to the states for college for 6 months and I'm tossing up between the GR1 and the GR2; I probably won't need more than a couple of changes of clothes and my laptop and a few other bits and pieces, but do you have any advice about which of the two bags I should go for?

about-the-journey asked: I was finally able to talk my buddy into doing a GoRuck Challenge with me sometime next year as a college "graduation present" for us, and something to help us work towards getting fit. Which ruck to you recommend the most for the GRC, that will also get the most day-to-day use after the GRC?

bucksixty: The GR Echo, Radio Ruck, and GR1 are three packs from GORUCK. The first pack I purchased was the GR1. I’ve used it as a day pack for several months as well as luggage for short (2-3) day weekend trips. The GR Echo and Radio Ruck are both great day packs and I’ve found…
